Book Description:

Why do advertising campaigns and new products often fail? Why do consumers feel that companies don't understand their needs? Because marketers themselves don't think deeply about consumers' innermost thoughts and feelings.

The book identifies seven basic frames we call deep metaphors which influence how people think and what they say, hear and do. We make the case that they are universal, relatively few in number, operate unconsciously, and are shared by seemingly different people. For these and other reasons they are powerful forces and must be understood by today¡¯s business leaders.
